Hiyashi Departmental Store 林百貨 - First & Oldest Departmental Store in Tainan

Established in 1932, Hiyashi Departmental Store 林百貨 is one of Tainan’s heritage buildings. Consisting of 5 storeys, Hiyashi Departmental Store sells a wide variety of products, ranging from local snacks, locally designed crafts to souvenirs.

Hiyashi Departmental store is the only departmental store in Taiwan with a Japanese shrine. Although the size of Hiyashi is incomparable to the branded departmental stores, most items displayed at Hiyashi were designed by local designers, which make them rather unique.
