Since 1953, Lao Chiang prides itself for its Toast, Pastries and Black Milk Tea. Till date, Lao Chiang has expanded to more than 5 stores around Kaohsiung City.
Lao Chiang’s Toast and Black Milk Tea have also won the hearts of Taiwanese celebrities such as Ella and Hebe from Mandopop Group, S.H.E. Hence, making Lao Chiang a highly recommended store for everyone in Kaohsiung.
Toast with Ham & Egg (NTD 50)
One of Lao Chiang’s signature toasts will be Toast with Ham & Egg. By looking at the appearance, this toast may look just as ordinary, like the ones you make at home. Upon tasting it, you will be surprised that a simple toast could appear to be so tasty.
The slices of bread were being coated with margarine and toasted, before filling it with ham and a sunnyside up.
Black Milk Tea (NTD 45)
Lao Chiang’s Black Milk Tea was rather bland and less sweet as compared to those the milk tea sold at bubble tea stores. We realized that the black milk tea found at most breakfast stores have this unique taste, which helps you start the day with a lighter tone.
Overall, we found that the toast served at Lao Chiang was really special and tasty, which we would definitely go back for more.
