Lau Wang Claypot Delights prides itself for serving claypot delights since 1985. Originally located inside a coffee-shop stall in Yishun, Lau Wang has expanded to its own standalone store in Serangoon Central in 2012. Just 5 mins walk away from NEX or Serangoon MRT.
In 2019, Lau Wang has expanded its stores into shopping malls, such as Oasis Terrace at Punggol and Tampines 1, bringing their claypot delights closer to you. Diners are now able to enjoy their piping hot claypot delights in an air-conditioned setting at affordable prices.
At Lau Wang, its signature dish includes Signature Claypot Sesame Chicken, with prices starting from $5.80 for the small portion and $7.80 the large portion. Also, there is no service charge and GST at Lau Wang. Other signatures include Claypot Herbal Chicken, Claypot Gong Bao Frog Leg, Claypot Herbal Frog Leg and Sambal Kangkong.

Signature Claypot Sesame Chicken ($5.80 / $7.80)
Consisting of boneless bite-sized chicken chunks, the chicken is extremely tender. The best part of this dish will be the thick savoury sauce that goes super well with plain rice. You can choose to have your chicken in 2 variations - spicy or non-spicy. This dish is definitely a must-order for every table.
The small portion is more than enough for 2 pax and you don't have to worry not having a satisfying portion of this savoury delight.
For Frog lovers, you can choose to opt for the Claypot Frog Leg (1 frog - $8.50/2 frogs - $16/ 3 frogs - $21).
Claypot Sambal Seafood ($9.50)
Served with squid, fish fillet, prawns, ladies fingers and onions, this dish is highly recommended for seafood lovers. Go for the Claypot Sambal Sotong if you are someone who loves sotong.

Tofu with Salted Fish – French Beans ($5.50)
Stir-fry styled french beans is a good choice to be your choice of sides to go along with your meal. The light flavour of the dish adds as a contrast to the savoury black sauce from the Sesame Chicken. Served in claypot, the french beans were able to retain its heat for a longer time.
Overall, the food served at Lau Wang was extremely homely and the savoury sauce from its Claypot Sesame Chicken is also one factor that gave us a reason to revisit again.
